DESOLATION
The crouching splendour of my soul. Profound
The desolation.That unsubstantial ground.
The darkest ocean, with its tides of gloom.
Terrible hours, where time is doomed.
But it is Will, the crown upon my head.
My shoulders bare the weigh, the heavy thread
Of all the memories... I pass The Portal. Goal
Of furious passions, whirling in my soul.
The darkness beckons. The Dragon, wild bestows
His flaming kiss on my reluctant brow.
My parted lips... A long forgotten song,
Sung from my blood, my veins. I move along
The coils of nameless terrors. Oh! They bring
Darkness to Dark, Fear to dawn, While I still sing.
Above my head, a sword will strike my mind.
The trembling sense of leaving you behind.
And I alone, will enter this amazing night.
Among the shades that fold, I'm getting out of sight.
The Gates of Death, my courage , piercing, hurts.
Mystery unveiled...Eternity that sooner starts.
The sense of Beauty lurks and creeps between
The Spirit and my Will...The Great Unseen.
