Never Ending 2

Growl has just step inside, heading towards his table. Basil stands up, tosses 50$ on the table and without explaining, runs to the back door.

The back door leads to a dark and narrow alley. Basil runs towards the lights of the main avenue full of traffic and life. Someone shouts...

'Hey! Wait a minute!'
Basil turns around and sees a waiter signaling frantically the avenue .
'Don't go that way!They're after you!'...

So, without thinking twice, he turns and runs into a poorly illuminated side-street, that leads to a park and the colorful tents of a circus.
The show's still going on. Basil can hear the music and the roars of the lions...The roars of laughter. He buys a ticket and goes in.
The crowd is laughing at the clowns. One of them looks at Basil in the eyes and winks at him.Basil freeze. He recognizes that cold stare...

It's Lieza. She keeps on staring at him, an ironic smile on her face. Basil sits down in a front row, and waits calmly for things to evolve.
A tall man seats beside him. He's wearing a dark suit and a black mask, covers half of his face. He whispers: ' Life is an illusion'...

Basil turns around and looks at him. The man winks an eye, and at that very moment the lights go out. Among the 'Oh!s and' Ah!'s of people he hears a strange music coming from the back seats. It sounds like a Gregorian Chant. He's mesmerized by it.
Someone grabs his hand, and puts a small box in it. Basil can smell the warm and spicy breath of a mouth near him.

Basil looks around, searching for Lieza. The clowns are on stage again, and one of them winks at him . Basil stands up and runs to the exit. A black shadow follows him down the aisle. Basil is still holding the note and the key in his hand. What could it possibly open ? And where is Lieza? ...
