Remembrance

I moved slowly about...
Green bamboos, iced cold water.
Those who knew me, said I was sad at heart.
Others thought, I was seeking for something.
But my heart was intoxicated
with the poisonous thought of my secret lover.
I wandered deep into the forest
seeking for long lost desires.
°
The women bow.
I cross the threshold with gold slippers.
How well my royal black robes befits me !
The court stands still.
I approach, topazes glimmering on my fingers.
The splendour of my smile.
The glossy ebony tresses unfold.
I reign over all these hearts, throbbing in night-blue veins.
°
Blue flies buzzing in the chrysanthemums.
Languor and lust.
The afternoon suspended in your hazel eyes.
I lie by you and dream of secret longings.
Caressing your skin
shadowed by dark bamboos.
Light, the moon comes forward.
The splendid night has arrived.
°
Lets be wild in our love.
Lets go to great excess.
Days and months will pass,
leaving us so anguished and thoughtful.
The end of the year is drawing to a close.
Lets not think beyond this present.
The duty of love is the enjoyment
of every hour spent in your arms.
