Battle-Song of the Morrigan
Aaaiiiieeeeee!!!
And I call my sisters
The battle-crow
The fury
The horse-mother
To come to me.
Black shadows on the horizon
Harbingers of death to the enemy
They shrink from my call
Hearing my keening
Know
That I am baying for their blood
That their bones will be mine to pick clean
That I demand
To be satiated even as I sit astride the father of my people and cause the life-
giving waters to churn and boil
I call to the women of my clan
Paint your faces now!
Take up your arms now!
Go gather the skulls of our enemies and use them for your cooking pots!
And I will not be denied.
Fair young warriors
Come here to my embrace
My kiss is not fearsome
But sweet
The taste of death
Will not linger
Overlong.
