Burning

You’ve walked away in tears from what I’ve said
While I sit working through the words that could’ve made you cry

You made a mistake 
So I had to tell you what you did wrong

You didn’t do what I wanted after I told you repeatedly 
So I have a right to be angry

You didn’t talk after I asked you why you forgot my instructions
Thats why I shouted to you for an answer

You dropped the cup on the floor 
Thats why I called you stupid

You didn’t move as quick as you should’ve 
Thats why I grabbed your hand

You claimed I was hurting you
Thats why I started be more forceful. 
To show you what it feels like when I really want to hurt you
You should know the difference
Its not my fault you misinterpret my caring touch

You’ve run off to cry in the bathroom 
And I getup to clean the glass you’ve left broken on the floor

I look at my hands 
They feel like their burning
They always feel that way

Its just the anger at the situation it will pass
Its just the stress from the work 
I just need to vent it out

But lately it feels like my flesh is burning away
The more I come to relieve this presure the more my skin peels from the heat
I look at my hands and see only bones left
Im starting to get angry just to feel something
Is this hell

“Your supposed to heal me”

I say this to the door you’ve locked yourself behind
The bathroom we used to use together

I knock gently
And you start to scream

I ask kindly for you to come out
You say you'l call the police

I ask for your forgiveness
Saying that you shouldn’t have acted that way
You shouldn’t have made me act this way
And Im sorry I didn’t stop you from acting this way
You start crying again

I hate it when you cry
It bothers me
And I try to express those feelings
Like the therapist you begged me to take you too asked of us
I don’t see you putting your emotions into words

Theres a knock on the door

It seems your crying has bothered the neighbors
Im placed in handcuffs because of your crying
Your given a blanket and water

Maybe if I show you my hands you can see it
The flesh is gone from them 
They’ve been burned away
Maybe then you will understand it

Everyone starts to scream
But I can see it in your eyes 
You finally see it as well
How my humanity has burned away
