Arab Spring (Arab Autumn)
Look at the Arab Spring and where did that get them?
Another dead country called Syria, with all its buildings smashed and thousands or millions dead or made refugees.

Extremists ripping their own revolution apart and a brutal government surviving by its own barbarity.
Okay perhaps the Assad government did plenty of good for Syria?
They ran the place with an iron hand but it prospered fairly well for many years and the people were achieving good and improving living standards.
Crop failures and climate problems were responsible for grievances which developed into rebellion.
But why did the government believe that repression and bombing of districts containing civilians would endear them to the people?
They pushed many of their own people away from them, with nowhere to go except into the arms of extremists or dreamers.
Why did so many government soldiers desert the cause they should have been encouraged to fight for?
Syria used to be for Sunnis, Alawites, Shias, Turks, Kurds and Christians alike. Why were so many of the Sunnis pushed away?
How can an Islamic state of any sort be created in a multi faith land?
Surely any such state is going to lose the support of the people who don’t belong to that faith.
Why is it that the keenest fighters are the ones who think they fight for their God?
Now the country is going to be smashed up even more as the Russians fight for the Assad government, killing even the moderate oppositions, while the barbaric Islamic State is let off the hook for now.
