I try and be me,

Never knew it was so hard

I try and be myself

And I only get judged

I try and show myself

But they cover me again

They say to be yourself

But then they don't let you.

Don't let them keep

you from showing the world

Exactly, what it is you bring

Exactly, what you want to say

Shout out what you want

Scream it louder than before

Sing out what you need

Bring your dreams to the stand

Don't be afraid

Showing who you are

After all, an original

Is worth much more

Than a copy
