The best kind of rain comes

In downpours

The kind that blurs background noise

And hums you to sleep.

Tonight

A soft drizzle

Came from the sky.

It gradually became louder

until I could hear

God’s muffled whispers.

Now it is becoming colder nights are longer and darker and power blacks out and generators start up one-by-one the kind that blurs background noise.
