PURE LOVE

What a vision Suzanne was! Sitting cross-legged, blonde curls setting off her sexy outfit, chatting happily with her workmates at her birthday celebrations. I’d signed the card and donated a fiver; but had never spoken to her, being new to the company. I have always been shy and found it hard to talk to women, especially beautiful ones. I just stood propping up the bar, trying to convey a nonchalance I did not feel. Gradually the others drifted away, and soon there was just me and her left. She smiled at me and beckoned. ‘Just us two then Ronnie!’ Wow! This Goddess was asking me over! I blushed and hesitated, then took a deep breath, and brought a bottle of Pinot to her table. She was easy to talk to, and, cutting a long story short, we went back to her flat. I was so nervous! I had not been in this situation for months, since breaking up with a long-term girlfriend; but emboldened with Dutch courage, sitting on her comfortable sofa surrounded by all her Birthday flowers and gifts, I drew her towards me for our first kiss. Her response was all I had hoped, and, my body already aching for her, I dared to follow her to her bedroom. As our limbs entwined hungrily on the pink sheets, I freed her from the confines of her dress, and began to unhook the satin bra which restrained the soft, full breasts which I was anxious to caress. Suddenly she pushed me away, whispering: ‘I must tell you something. You may not like it’ I replied tenderly: ‘Darling, there is nothing you can say that would stop me adoring you!’ ‘There are two things’, she said, trembling. ‘I am 40. Much older than you.’ I laughed. ‘Is that all? Looking me straight in the eye, she continued: ‘And I am a virgin’. I couldn’t hide my surprise at this revelation; although girls from my culture generally remain virgins until married, this I think is unusual for Europeans. She explained about her strict Catholic upbringing, and that she had never found the right person – until now. I hugged her close, tears filling my eyes at the great gift she was giving me. That was several months ago. Now here we are at the Register Office, surrounded by our friends and about to tie the knot. Suzanne looks like a fairy princess in her flowing white wedding dress. Sadly, neither of our sets of parents felt able to share this day with us; we do understand, and hope they will come round eventually when they see how much in love we are and will always be. My sister Rupal and Sue’s sister Wendy were happy to be bridesmaids though. Now the registrar is calling us forward: ‘Suzanne Maria Riley and Sonal Veronica Banerjee please’. I smooth my wedding sari, take Sue’s hand, and together we walk towards our future. ‘
