Melissa laid still as the shadows of the pure darkness had begun to swallow her body whole. As the sun had continued to fall from the sky yet again, Melissa's thoughts kept her awake as they circled in such a jumbled manner. As the moon began to take its place in the sky, she felt the urge to stand up and walk. Melissa's body ached as she slowly lifted her pained body up and moved slowly out of her lonesome cabin. She had no clue to where she was going, but she knew she wouldn't stop. She wanted to leave the area which had caused her so much sadness, pain and anger. She wanted to feel relief, the relief of knowing she would never feel pain or misery again.
Even thinking about the past few days have made stomach churn. She replayed every event over and over again, as if it were a record stuck on repeat. So much pain one man had caused her when this was supposed to be the most romantic evening she had ever experienced. As Melissa stopped towards the beginning of the trail out of town she looked over her shoulder towards the cabin, where she had expected so many great things to happen. Melissa spoke with a angered tone, "I guess even love won't save you" and with that, she had left before her lover's dead body would be found by any living soul.
