A Compressed Eternity

Time races by but there are places where it rather likes to lull. Most of the time, these places are avoided like the plague or, when that is not possible, complained about for generations.
Not all of time's lazy places are condemned; most are anomalous and undiscovered. Places where people don't mind or don't notice that time isn't quite up to speed. Places where a month feels like an eternity. Such places are a gift in this time of rush; islands in the eye of the ever raging storms of life. Refuges to the weary and bastions for the anxious.
Without knowing it, language has developed with these places, providing explanation to time's lax hideaways; from time flying to crawling, they allow an alternative look into an indiscriminate force yet there is one above all: fast friends.
The friendships themselves appear compressed, sped up when viewed from the outside but, in actuality, they moved at the same pace just in a different place. Time's generous reprieve.
Hold tight to any space where time may lay, for in your hands you have something special. Share it with those you deem worthy, for those you wish you knew better but especially with those who need it.
Share with them eternity, compressed into a month.
