Probably Knot

When something is less likely, there lies spectacle.
When there’s a wave of hype, I just lean skeptical.
Then, when you look for certainty, that’s just the face.
The calm surface you consider’s not the place.
I can’t say the rivers shouldn’t flow.
The world is full of mystery, I know.
I believe that eccentricity is grand.
But, it’s improbable, I say- not out of hand.
I can’t say a zephyr shouldn’t blow.
I shouldn’t shout that to the breeze, I know.
I say the wind will not completely stall.
That would be improbable. That’s all.
I can’t say the sun would vacate from its vault,
and all the photosynthesis would halt.
The result of that would be just horrible.
In fact, I say it’s fair improbable.
I wouldn’t say there are no absolutes,
or differ with the aim of being cute.
I’m not trying to be a pest at all.
I’m just saying it’s improbable. That’s all.
