Vampires (Midnight Feed)

You stirred in you dreamless slumber
And murmured drowsy words of sleeping wonder.
I held my breath
Backed up against to wall
Waiting for your fear to wake you,
But you rolled over wordlessly
Never to make another sound.
The night's cast shadow hid me
As I crept silently to your side
The moon's light shinning the hunger in my eyes.
I started the change in me as I made my descent
You sighed as my day-time secret pierced you flesh
Not knowing what evil had spawned your hidden guest.
Not a drop of your blood was spilled
I drank at your expense until my hunger was filled.
I left not a trace of my presence as I left
No one will ever wake you from your doomed eternal rest,
Nothing will ever unsettle your stolen soul
And you'll never discover those tiny, secret, needle like holes.
