X: Them

All I hear when I walk past the preps and the townies
Is "Ewww, gothic mosher freak. Probably takes downers."
They judge me by my clothes, my hair&;#8230;
Not by personality; that's not fair.
"Keep away Devil Worshiper&;#8230;"
Always said in a mocking whisper.
They cough "Goth" and "mosher"
Shout abuse and make me suffer.
They can't grasp the fact "everyone's different"
They don't understand that I don't want to be like them.
I hate their mocking taunts
And jokes
Their disapproving tones
The way they stare, sneer and laugh.
Life isn't fun
Not when they're around.
They make it so dull
My will has hit the ground.
I try to ignore them,
Walk away, don't look back&;#8230;
But they follow.
They're at every corner
Down every path
In my every thought
And they won't leave me alone.
