Resistance is futile
It is also fucking tiring
I count every second I waste on resistance
They strut against my eyelids
World’s most boring catwalk
Yet, here I trudge
every second in this mud
of clenched muscles
and gritted teeth
Until I am just
So
Fucking
Exhausted

Okay, I swear I did not come to ABCtales to create a promotion space for my newsletter. The IPs have been so perfectly aligned to some of the poetry I had published, that it almost feels as if someone's been spying on me.
This one was from July 2021, a time of personal resistance and a time of fatigue. Much has changed since. I have shoveled enough mud to carve a path. Not quite the path of least resistance, but at least a path of less resistance.
It is strange to feel like you're getting better personally when outside in the world such tragic events are happening. Although I suppose wars, pandemics and other world tragedies don't really care about our individual well-being, so we might as well strive to get better and find those less-resistance paths. At the very least, it will give us more energy to help others.

Hi Magnolia,
Hi Magnolia,
maybe it's the outside tragedies that spur us on to make ourselves better? Like you said, to help make the world a better place x
