Leggings - Stray thoughts & time-out situations.

 

Stray thought of the day:  Is there a correlaton between the lack of music in public places and the rise (and rate) of 'hate' crimes?

 

Leggings was pondering on this stray thought as she ate her McFlurry at an early hout.  Well before the watershed time for ice cream.  Around her the cafe buzz was held down by the crooning of a new singer with a lilting beat to his music.  Several people were intent on making their positions felt to others and yet were turned aside gently, without the staff expending too much effort.

 

It seemed strange to her that it was so...  then the music picked up again.   She could see the benefits for the cafe staff - as the music soothed the savagery down a tad.

 

She had decided on a policy of not using a cafe on two simultaneous days.  Yet today she had broken her own rule.   It was the call of ice cream.

 

In the front of the cafe on high stools looking out over the cafe area were three very tall individuals.  Smartly dressed they seemed to assess every movement.  As she went she heard one of them hiss out 

"Can she stand unsupported?"

"Yes for a moment or two./"

There was a significant pause.

 

"Well it won't belong before she can't do it!" claimed the third sharply.

She smiled, kept her face down.  Left.

 

Another stray thought niggled at her - was it another faction that had called the cull so long ago?   It had a lot to gain by doing so...   And had it been successful after a time?  And were these three running this particular show?
