Leggings - Tripodic meetings

The Widdle sisters swish down the main street in nearby D..... , their goal is the Whole-in-the-wall main hideout, snugly fitted down the side of the bank.  They are careful to hide their prominient front teeth - as rumours soon get around.  One gets an image of miminality.everything small, a bit like toy poodles.  Just like the teacup dogs, they have their faults.  At the door, excited beyond the normal, they jump up and down attempting to lick the hands of the tripod - the  one of three, just beyond the opening.

You can hear them from outside spitting out the morning report.
"Did she use her card?  We need her to spend a bit more.  We can say she can't manage her money then.  Prove her ill again."  It was a whale from her ebony heart.  The Tripod leant on one boney hand on the counter and continued grimly, "We have to have something on her."  She has issues with lack of fat as do others in her community.  Her hair is black, and her face an unnatural white. Her face draws back in rictus grin, showing her molars, filed back into screw like shapes and pale green so they shine in the dark.  

"We saw her," claimed the sisters, jumping up and down intermittently.  Behind them a series of unfortunate events were growing in the hidey hole.  However it didn't matter. They had cleaners.

"Quieten down!" insisted the tripod seizing the sisters by the scruff of the neck and pulling them further in.  "She'll hear you.  It's published and be dammed.  Now if only I could get something on her - something..."

"That poor girl," claimed the first one flashing a wild eye upwards. "She..."
A male voice interupted her as she got into squeal mode, "We've agreed on that.  That was wrong."
"Yes I suppose so," replied the Tripod sharply, "However..."
"We've still got the money here.  Haven't we?"
"Yes.  You can't touch it though as it's in her name."
"Let's go further back, she might hear us.  Someone said she had extra hearing.  An aid perhaps?"

From outside the scuffle footsteps moved on inwards, and the voices decreased.
