Kitty got out of bed quickly after listening to a near fight outside the flat, over whether someone was allowed to knock at my door or not. Whoever it was had scarpered by the time she'd got to the door. The corridor was deserted.
Later she shrugged her way into comfortable clothes and went out for a walk. It wasn't supposed to turn into a route march - only it turned into a longer than planned walk, and she ended up shopping in Bestgo's and Iddyls.
As she went around she heard a strange story, which she wrote down as soon as she got home.
The army officers had some money which was given them to look after someone, who needed no help. After some time another group took the money to look after the person. However they did nothing for her either.
A man said brusquely, "Look at that, she walked here. I bet they did nothing to help!"
Another said, "She likes the walk, she never accepts a lift."
It's true: i like to walk, however I never knew that people were paid to look after me.

True or False?

Just before I passed my 11+ and hide that I knew that I passed it, my foster father Lloyd applied to the Q for some money to send me to a special kind of school. The Q sent back a no, as she said there were special schools enough. Lloyd wanted to send me to a school for the gifted. I wasn't keen. I hadn't enjoyed the other school, which appeared to have alien teachers after the Pullman's left.
So now the Q (I was a ward of the Crown) thought I was 'special', and the school who didn't know what I was, had no places left in the ordinary forms, and didn't know I had passed the 11+. This ended with me being placed much to Mrs. EE's delight in the bottom class with the trouble makers and the slow children. We basket weaved, and I read Homer's Illayd below the desk, and "The Lay of the Last Minstral by Sir Walter Raliegh with delight.
I helped the teacher with the really special children, and it was only when the Head girl reported that I could talk, read and write that I got caught by the Head and the school Psychologist, and retested. What the results were I'll keep to myself. A little after this, the high school contacted the Head and I was due to move schools when I was 13. The Ee's took a transfer to Belfast. they didn't seem to want to tell the truth.

I wonder if this is still why the money for looking after me is paid?

Can you stop the money please? If it's true. And also if it's true can someone talk to me? I'm not keen on these people at all.... I can manage my own money, not being limited in intelligence.
