Oh Mummy gets her
crack from the C..... .. Team,
When it's televised
she'll get her dream. She has no choice -
she has to do what
she's told. They crack the whip -
and she puts me out. Say what
they say, she says too cold.
She's not my Mummy when her
voice is so old.
They say it's going to be on
TV. I know it's a scam;
and I'm going to lie. The host is
coming and I’ve rehearsed
all the words. If I lie, just lie -
perfectly then Mummy gets her burst.
I don't want to object it might
get worse, Mummy doesn't care
if I scream. She says when I
get older I know how it hurts.
Mummy I say, Please lets go
home. The air is damp and
I might get hurt. These aren't
nice folk, or they'd help you out
not give you the chance to go
back into yourself. I know how
you once cared. I know how
Mummies should be. I see each day
the Mummy's parade. All the
way to school with Tommy & Jane.
If I grow up, which sometimes I
think I won't – I'm never going
to put my child out. I know
how it hurts. I know you cry.
Each time you see the trutht in
my eyes. Don't beg me to say
things I don't mean. I know that you'll
buy me a special dream.
Only then I wonder how long
I'll last. Cos little girls like me
Are made of Glass. Made of
glass. Of Glass. Just glass.
And we break under pressure - glass breaks under pressure
just glass. clear glass.
