Thoughts of Gerald --- October fifth

eyes
fixed for an instant
in distant
all too close
memory
dark words speak
spoken
not heard
pacing
thoughts racing
through crystal measures
another's eyes
so bluest blue ...
voice soft as
new born's breath
warms
with smile
while
opened arms
long enfolding ... unfold
hands
once raised
in triumph's fisted reach
closed ...
release
emptied ...
open
only now spirit lingers
here ...and here ...
in heart's chamber
soul
sped in fall scents
and crimson flourish
stirs ...
a moment's whisper
breathed
then
stilled
gone ...
forever felt
this cherished place
this sounding space
this ... depth of being
drifts
to
crisp light shimmer
on pond's
reflecting scape
yet
warm
of summer's
mirrored blaze
once
gentled hand
tilled earth's seeds
became
too soon
sleeping arbors
weeping
beneath
geese float on air clouds
in seeming flight
above
sky's surface
pooling
as
muffled trumpet
sounds
pronounce
to all ... is well
not so ... for all
great light
in life ... energy
passed
gone ...from here ...
and here ...
in whitest white
emptying echoes
beyond
this bluest pool's
reflection
all of memory ... remains ... your light

So many original, resonant
So many original, resonant lines: 'triumph's fisted reach... here and here in heart's chamber'... induce a contemplative mood and conjure a 'sounding space' for this unique, moving epitaph. Another beauty, MarciaMarcia!
