Solitary envelope,
naked and alone.
Waiting,
betraying it's trust,
open and alone.
She sits in the darkness,
hoping for more.
He waits in the night,
burnt and bitten.
And still the envelope lies there,
Saying "See me, Love me".
Empty people come and go,
like the tide,
Brushing past it's breaking heart.
"See me, Love me."
He passes by on the other side.
"See me, Love me."
She looks away in pain and fear.
The envelope lies
discarded on the floor,
Unopened,
unwanted,
unloved,
naked and alone.
