There's Nothing Here

There's nothing here.
I mean it.
Maybe you'll go and get some hidden meaning,
Everyone will, does, or tries to.
Destined to be ravaged and ripped,
Every word lifted and looked under,
Searching for some hidden truth.
There's nothing here.
Really, I mean it, don't bother.
Obviously this is just a silly poem and
You'll find nothing in it,
Save my silly words, of course.
Even when I make it clear, you don't listen?
Very well, I give up.
Everyone will just drop it when they
Realise it is futile. Why do
You persist in this? What are you
Thinking? Just stop reading, please.
How do you think you're making me feel?
Incessant need to find meaning in life, the
Need to feel important?
Grow up and go away, just go read something else.
