Flipping Heck!

I am not really into Winter and all the dark nights, I would rather just stay in the home and in the warm, where it is nice and cosy. I remember when our kids were small, Paul often wanted us to take them to see the lights, event that we had every year in our Town, sometimes it would be muddy and always cold. I had to go along as it would be difficult with two small children on his own. I went for our kids. The same with bonfire night, that was a huge event held in the grounds of a stately home, or sometimes we would go to one in a huge park. I had to go, as I was the driver, as Paul don't drive. To be fair, I did enjoy it too, but if it was left to me, we would never have gone to any of them. It was good that Paul wanted to go to all these different events, it made our kids lives enjoyable.
The German Market has never appealed to me, I never ever wanted to go. I did go through one, one year when I was going to a concert, that was the way to get to the building. It was very pretty with bright lights. Lots of excited people buying gifts and eating and drinking all different kinds of food and drinks. Each to his or her own. I see it as a win win situation, the crafts person is happy and the customer is happy too. My Daughter has been more than once and love it there, people who I work with has been too, they have had a fantastic time, good for them.
So, it was very sad to hear, that a man used his car and crashed into a dense group of people, who know nothing about his cause, knew nothing about his views. It is heartbreaking to think that five innocent people went out to have a nice time and didn't go back home, but died at an innocent event, a Market!
One child was only nine years old, what did he do? He didn't do anything to this man. Hundreds were injured.
Their precious lives taken away, just like that.
RIP to the five murdered.
