Insurance.

My friend, his lovely Mum is dying, the Doctor has told him, “She has about three weeks to live.” He and his wife, they have paid in full for their holiday, which is in five weeks. He is insured.
Hayden explained to the travel company, “My Mum has been given approximately three weeks to live, please can I cancel the holiday?”
The holiday firm replied, “Yes, but you will have to still pay half, that is £1,400,” Hayden said to them, I can get you a doctor’s note as proof.” The company replied, “There is no need, you pay the £1,400 or add another £100 and you can have the same holiday next year instead.”
Hayden’s head was all over the place, because of his lovely Mum and watching her slowly die each time he went to see her in the hospice. It all seems SO unfair. I know the travel company is a business, but you would think with insurance, they would just give him all his money back! They would not lose. What is £1,400 to them? He offered to show them proof that his Mum has not got long to live. They just show themselves as heartless. In fact, they told him, after, “With twelve weeks to the holiday, the Customer has to pay seventy percent of the holiday.”
So, with that in mind, what is the point of Insurance? ATOL protected means nothing, when it comes to the nitty gritty.
Hayden has since been on the phones for a very long time, trying to get to speak to a human, with no joy. Then when he gets to speak to a human, he is passed from pillar to post, as the days go by …… eventually he was told by the human, “Click on the link and email us.”
Shame on Them! They have no heart, another big and mighty Company that think one day, they too won’t fall!
