Door to door karaoke

So I've heard about this couple who go round the neighbourhood providing door to door karaoke.
My friend Ethan told me. They came to his house. Knocked on his door. "Hi. Would you like to sing a song?" they asked. They had a little trolley. Speakers, a monitor with a microphone. Ethan wasn't interested. He asked them to say it again just to know he'd heard them right so when people at work said 'Are you sure?' he could say 'Yeah, I'm sure. It was door to door karaoke.'
He told them he couldn't do it because he was waiting for a phone-call. Which was true but even if he wasn't waiting for a phone-call he wouldn't have done karaoke with two strangers on his doorstep.
Ethan worries about things. Once the two of us went to a music festival and he spent his whole time in his tent because there was so much to think about if he went into the arena.
He said that sometimes when he worried about things he'd write down the things he was proud of in his life and stare at that piece of paper and it wouldn't be long until he was feeling happy.
I heard about the door to door karaoke again the next week. My sister's bridesmaid told her they'd come ot her house. She hadn't sang either but when she spoke to my sister she told her how much she'd have loved to have been able to do dor to door karaoke. She said to mysister to let her know if she knew how to get in touch with them. She was desperate to be able to do it next time.
I said to my sister that wasn't what it was for. You couldn't invite those guys round. You may as well just go to a karaoke night or hire a karaoke machine for yourself. Surely the whole point of what they did was the surprise. 'Oh my God! There are people at the door with a karaoke machine telling me to sing! What do I do!' Your mind panicking while on the way too familiar setting of your doorstep as you're singing That's Amore.
