Pulp Fiction

A pile of CDs in the bedroom of the house
that you still live in, in your dreams.
The first wedding you go to as an adult,
You look at the bride and groom and say
I go to the pub with them! I’ve slept
on their settee!
Tarantino writing the words Pulp Fiction
at the top of a blank piece of paper
the whole day ahead of him.
Once I went to a party at my neighbour’s house
I hadn’t been invited I just heard music I liked
so went to get some cold beers from the shop
and walked in. The first time you leave the house
after someone you loved has died and a stranger says
Everyone you love is somewhere, always,
Completely out of nowhere, you think this was meant
to happen, to be here right now, amongst strangers,
transported to the first time I bought beers in a pub
for me and my dad. Quentin Tarantino thinking
what about John Travalta? I have put my new shirt on.
As soon as work is done we all know where we’re going.
I am reading a novel I found in a charity shop. Please
let there always be strangers.

This works well
A vivid collection of mental snapshots.
One point - It's Travolta with an o.
