The Bus With No Brakes

In the city of heartaches there lives a young lady ,

she’s only fifteen and she tries not to scream .

She lives in a nightmare that never awakes ,

 its sad but its true ,

she’s on the bus with no brakes .

As another year passes she’s now turned sixteen ,

 nothing has changed it’s the same old scene .

A bottle of tablets she washed down with drink ,

 in the blink of an eye , the nightmare awakes .

She’s on the bus with no brakes ,

 yeah we all make mistakes ,

but for all of our sakes we get  what it takes

and we don’t step on board the bus with no brakes .

Pray for that lady who’s memory we’ll keep ,

her nightmare is over and she’s now fast asleep

and think of those people who must travel on

the bus with no brakes until their nightmare has gone  .

 She’s on the bus with no brakes ,

 yeah we all make mistakes ,
