Only They Would Know That

Only those who are innocent and pure of heart are allowed to walk the road to the place where angels play and there are none who can return back to the road of innocence once it has been lost . In a place where the angels play there is a bridge across to fairyland and it is there where the custodian of time holds the key to the door between here and eternity.
There are many who have lost their way and tried to return back to where innocence once was but ended up getting even more lost in fairyland .
The bridge between the here and the hereafter is only accessible through the door that can only be opened by the custodian of time .

This is the story of Ere and his journey through fairyland trying to find the bridge between here and eternity.
Somehow he was able to escape from here and he ended up in fairyland .

One beautiful morning in Fairyland, Ere opened his eyes and the wind whispered good morning to the birds in the trees around the forest where Ere had fallen asleep and the birds all jumped up and bumped every other bird who were still at rest there until all the birds in all the trees got up and flew through the air chirping good morning to the wind that whistled up the hill and down to the farm in the valley .

Good morning the wind whispered to the pigs who went, grunt and oink oink as they all went boink and bumped into into the runaway skunk who went stinkity poo all over their pig stye . The donkey then he hawed at the scarecrow who laughed and lost some straw giggling at what he saw which made the crows all go caw caw to the wind .
The wind turned and went into a spin and the cows all mooed in to the barn on the farm in the vale. The parrot in the barn there talked as another one squawked at the mouse went squeak squeak across the floor . The cat at the door just purred and licked its fur as the sun shone down brighter than before .
The wind returned back to the forest where the bees were humming in the trees . The fairies all starting coming , some walking , some running , some were flying in the air everywhere . They all surrounded Ere who stood there looking a little lost and unaware of what to say or do with all the fairies who had gathered round him there .
A fairy on a horse came galloping over and said ,
“ So what are you doing here in this neck of the woods .”
“I seem to be lost” Ere replied ,
Another fairy flew across and hovered in the air in front of Ere and said ,
‘Well you better not follow us because we’re all lost too. “
All the fairies began to jump and roll over laughing and then they started singing .
“ If you want to get lost then you better follow us around and around we’ll go , to the fairy ring where we’ll dance and sing around the bridge that the innocent know “
Off they all went with Ere following behind to a fairy ring where they all went around and around singing ., Some other creatures from the forest also began to follow behind . The monkeys , the owl and the wolf all went inside the fairy ring and now everyone inside the magic ring were all looking for a way to get out .
They all started singing ,
‘Does anybody know how to get out of this fairy ring here that we’re all in , for all we’re doing is going round and around and our heads are beginning to spin ”
A kangaroo arrived with a hop, skip and jump to the fairy ring and said ,
“Sussh that’s enough of that .Are you as blind as a bat or what . Can’t you see the way to get out ?
The owls twitt whooed and the wolf went ahroooo and the monkeys went oooh oooh ooh . The fairies all said .
“Nobody really knows the way to get out . Only they would know that “
Then they all looked at Ere and said .
” Hey you there, are you a man or a mouse ?
Said the fairy with the green hat .
Ere scratched his head and said ,
“Only they would know that. “
Another fairy with a gold hat looked at Ere and said ,
“ Are you chicken or what ?”
Ere just smiled and thought for a while and another fairy added .
“ Has the cat got your tongue ?”
Ere blinked his eyes and replied ,
“Only they would know that. “
Some of the animals from around the forest began to take an interest in what was going on inside the fairy ring . The made there over and started chattering and chittering , whispering and splattering . The geese went into a gaggle and a little duck went for a waddle over to the edge of the fairy ring and said ,
“Are we more like animals than they?”
The swan gracefully lifted up, its neck and replied
“ Yeah”
But horse shook his head and said
“Neigh “
One of the fairies began to jump up and down as shouted
“You‘re just a silly little duck and it seems to me that you’re as sly as a fox “
The duck went
“Quack I’m not coming back . If that’s what you think of me .“
“The things we do and the things we say , should not be taken seriously “
Said the monkey but the duck just waddled away .. .
“You’re as mad as a bull and as stubborn as a mule little duckie. Don’t be a fool , keep your cool . Come on back and lets all be friends “
Said the water rat to the duck who turned around and went ,
“’Quack . Ok but it sounds to me Mr Rat like you’ve got a frog in your throat”
Everybody there started laughing together and the little duck waddled back over to the magic fairy ring and said to everyone there inside the ring .
“So how can you all get out of here “
“Only they would know that. “
Came the reply from the beaver who was eager to respond .
Then a tall slender figure walked across the bridge , He was dressed in a red robe and had long white hair with a long white beard . In his hand he held a bell ans he started to ring the bell saying .
“ Come Ere , its time to go to the place where you are meant to be ,
The custodian of time went over to the fairy ring and shook the bell three times in each hand allowing everyone inside to see the way out of the fairy ring .
Everyone made their way out from the fairy ring and they all said goodbye to Ere and went their own way back into the forest. The custodian looked at Ere and smiled then he said .
“ Follow me now across the bridge to the door to eternity.”

Ere followed the custodian of time over the bridge to a door was there. Taking the
key that he wore around his neck he put it into the keyhole and opened up
the door .
A blinding light shone from the other side and Ere heard his name being called .

Ere looked at the custodian of time and asked ,

“Who are they who would know ?”

The custodian replied ,
“Soon you will meet them . They are the innocent on the other side “

Ere walked through the door into eternity .
