Remembering Loves Old Tune
by Paul McCann
.
In the chair in her room
she is waiting for June .
A quiet afternoon .
Visitors coming soon .
She is feeling complete
as she sits on her seat .
Friends are there ,
food to eat ,
everyone wants to speak .
Oh life isn’t it grand .
To be in such demand .
A lady in command
with no time for her man .
The passion I assume
can fade away too soon .
in overcrowded rooms
blocking out love’s sweet tunes.
In our heyday we’re hot .
In our mayday’s we’re not .
Somedays we say , so what .
It’s sad that they’ve forgot .
