Streets Of The Soul
By Paul McCann
So what’s going on can you tell us
desert flowers blooming in the dust ,
bush fires burning all the houses down ,
no where to park anywhere in town
Tell you something between me and you ,
we need time to do what we can do .
then in the end it will be all right .
Here on the streets of the soul tonight.
So won’t you tell me what going on ,
do it right you can do no wrong..
Just take a walk down memory lane ,
turn around and start over again.
The seasons come and the seasons go ,
fields of green will be covered in snow .
hear the sound of the that’s snow falling ,
see the little birds gently calling .
Living on the streets where old ghosts meet .
Here on these streets , it’s just oh so sweet .
Perfect strangers, we’ll never get old ,
in a state of love , deep in the soul .
Everything that we believe is true ,
keep believing in the things we do .
Going to places that we don’t choose,
nothing to win and nothing to loose .
Forever young , we’ll never get old
living here on the streets of the soul .
Long is the road that makes straight the path.
After the tears we’ll have the last laugh .
Nobody really knows where we are,
sometimes it seems that we’ve gone too far .
We’re here for a while and then we’re gone .
Walking home again to where we’re from .
