Why Should Love Be Lonely

There was always a threat that nuclear war could wipe out most of the fertile lands around the planet which would be a real danger for mankind which gave him the idea of establishing the first of the global hydroponic domains with self-sustaining growing plots that could maintain themselves . It was a possible solution to produce crops in an artificial environment after the nuclear war when the planet would be going through a nuclear winter .  

Danny Green . nick named green fingers , had always been a forward-thinking person and a genius when it came to designing solutions for environmental issues . on the earth . He was part of the team who build the first solar storage bunkers that were connected to the huge towers with their giant solar panels that charged the batteries in the storage bunkers . He also developed the idea for the wind harnessing tunnels and the ocean wave turbines that manufactured and transformed the powers of nature into electricity . With all the work that he was doing he had no time for a relationship . He lived in a high-rise apartment that looked down over the city and often craved for company. Many nights he was lonely with no one to share a meal with or talk to . He could talk to his cyberdoll about any topic , he had this weird cybernetic relationship with her but couldn’t get a hug or hold her hand and so he had to accept this was the price he had to pay for all the work he was doing .

His dream was to build and install his hydroponic domains on the surface of the moon that would be a backup food manufacturing source for the people on the earth in case the domains on the earth were ever attacked or destroyed .  The world leaders were becoming very concerned about an escalation of violence between some superpower nations on earth and as growing tensions increased it was decided to commence the early developments of these self-sustaining global gardens around the earth . It was given an encouraging boost with many sponsors to   fund these dome gardens around the earth. If mankind was going to survive after a nuclear war this would be the miracle needed to provide food for everyone left on the planet . It was a little like a new promised land for future generations until the green fields of the earth would return . In twelve months the first of the green domes were finished and now with their sights beyond the earth , the first green domes were going to be established on the moon . .

These lunar domes were a top-secret project and required Danny to physically there  on the moon during the time they were being constructed and after they were completed to monitor the functioning and processing of the first crops . Within these moon domes an artificial sustainable environment would be established and maintained by cyberbots .  With programmed intelligence and knowhow these manmade robots would be able to send space capsules with processed food back to earth at regular intervals to feed the entire population of the planet if needed .

Massive anti-gravitational water tanks had already been put in place upon the moon and where awaiting the arrival of the green dome tile sections that would be constructed by the cyberbots . Danny had devised an ingenious oxygen supply through a series of inner chambers inside an overhead irrigation system that would be fed continuously through a recycling pump around the perimeter of the moon dome . The oxygen tanks would maintain a perfect environment for growing crops in space with an inbuilt irrigation system .

Each harvest would then be exported back to earth or stored in refrigerated depots on the moon for future use . The green fields in space were the first of its kind and  Governments around the Earth were happy with its success . A future project was discussed about establishing satellite domes for growing seedlings that could be used in the moon dome project . These orbiting green nursery gardens in space stations were still in their developing stages .  They still required electromagnet batteries driven by its own internal recharging system . These batteries would provide an ongoing power supply for the orbiting satellite domes .

So finally under the watchful eye of Danny green fingers , the first moon dome project got underway . He was in charge of the entire cyberbot work crew who stared assembling each section of the green dome .For the first month Danny was going through separation from people on earth and being isolated on the moon . He tried to talk with his cybedolls to remain sane living on the moon which did have some very weird moments .

During the time the project took to become a living , breathing reality , the first of the nuclear weapons had already been deployed and half the surface of the earth was  uninhabitable . A lot of the population had been able to retreat into their underground dwellings that were pre-built in case of a nuclear war . Danny was devastated to know what had happened on earth but it motivated him to continue with his moon dome project .

The man on the moon had come through . The first harvest of crops were sent to earth on the space shuttles to support the few remaining domes on the earth

Living alone on the moon was much different than what Danny was used to on earth All he ever seen were cyberbots and his cyberdolls everyday but he was happy inside the moon dome knowing that he was providing an important resource for the human race to survive .

Now and the Danny would dress up like a robot just to fit in . He wore a helmet like a knights in medieval times and put on body armour and paraded around the dome as if he was a robot . One night as Danny was checking the monitors around the dome he noticed something very strange happening outside the perimeter around the complex . There was some movement on the moons surface . Suddenly a number of hatches opened up on the  moons surface and these egg shaped spacecraft came floating out and started to hover for a while before landing right outside the entrance door of the moon dome . Danny was freaking out and in a state of shock . He never did like surprise visits and when he saw what was happening he dressed up again like a robot and made himself scarce . The dome was invaded by some alien creatures who had started to disable all the alarm systems . One of the creatures approached Danny surrounded by a bright light and as the creature looked at him it  began to communicate  .

“Do not be afraid man , we will not harm you . You are welcome here . Take love ”

Instantly Dannu felt something he had never experienced in his life .It was something he had always desired to have . His body and mind were infused with beautiful emotions .

Danny said,

‘That is the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced “

The moon creature said ,

“We are dwellers of the moon with gifts your race have never known . We have been living underneath the surface here for a very long time . Once our planet was like yours filled with oceans and islands with trees and  mountains with flowers and creatures that swam and flew like you have on Earth . Our planet was destroyed by similar weapons that your race is using . In our underground habitats we have learned how be in love and how to stay in love and even how to share that love with each other . Your race will also learn how to do this one day “

“Why are you here telling me all this?”

Danny asked and the creature approached holding a silver tube . He reached him the tube and said . 

“With this device you can save your planet before it’s too late . “

Danny took the silver tube and said 

What is this device ?”

The creature replied .

 “What you hold in your hands is an implant . Once it is opened into your atmosphere a molecule we have named love in transit will infuse all who live around your planet which will protect you from further actions of war . It will also help protect your planter form harmful radiation and in a short time your planet will return to normal again . You must return now and inform your leaders about what I have told you ”

“This is a miracle . How can we ever thank you ?”
Danny said and the moon creature replied .

“We have learnt to appreciate life and how to teach others about the mistakes that we made “

“How many devices will it take to repair the earth’s atmosphere ?”

Danny asked and the creature replied

“We shall sent one of these molecule implants each month in one of your space shuttles here on the moon . In twelve months, that will be more than enough to do the job that is necessary  . The code to open the devices is 1969 , the year when your race first landed here on the moon  . That code must be pushed on every device as would release the molecules into the earth’s atmosphere , you will see the effect immediately and as long as you continue to live in peace your planet will be recreated . Goodbye man . Live long , love and be happy  .“

The moon creatures watched Danny get into one of the space shuttles and leave the  surface of the moon . Them they returned into the hatches on the moon that closed after they went inside .

Danny opened the implant when he arrived back on earth and an immediate change was seen and felt all over the Earth .When Danny explained what had happened on the moon there were many sceptics at first but at once they were silenced by the video footage of all the egg shaped craft and the creatures he had met .

Each month another shuttle arrived with an implant that had been sent and the  molecule implants begam a sequenced release of life and love into the earth’s atmosphere .The result was indeed a miracle . Immediately a new blue hazy layer of  ozone was clearly visible around the planet  . The effects were almost immediate with people learning to respect and love each other all over the earth The future of the human race was assured and life was good on the planet .
