Dark deliverers from safety, they stand
Shining as angels of light into the deep
Anti-clockwise, taking ships away,
Fog masking the sturdy towers of the true light.
The bellowing of that strange beast of a foghorn
Obscured by grinding timbers on the bitter points,
The end of Neptune’s trident felt beneath
Flickering greed of wreckers riding the storm,
Come in a fatal gathering to show themselves at last.

concise and poignant, sad,
concise and poignant, sad, — especially for the culprits,- will they regret? Rhiannon

I love the drama of this poem, especially the lines:-
The end of Neptune's trident felt beneath
Flickering greed of wreckers riding the storm,
Come in fatal gathering to show themselves at last.
Definitely another enjoyable read.
Jenny.
