Dancing in the gaps
Dancing in the gaps… 
Going off the maps.
Looking for direction
Time in reflection.
When up is down
And down is lost.
Spinning round the world 
Spreading the cost.
Smiling on call
Waiting for the fall.
Heads turning South
Way way past Louth.
Searching for the future
So hard from the past.
Eyes looking forward
Mind is coming last.
Optimistic pessimistic
Very very realistic.
My hat fell through a hole
Trying to find a home.

I like the short line rhythm here, it gives the poem a pace that fits it's theme.

Cheers Dougie, thanks for the comment and read much appreciated mate. Do you remember the last one when we had a wee banter about our faveourite tipples? Some dude posted on there implying i'm an alcoholic..... FFS. Just said he didn't like the poem and maybe i'd do better if I didn't drink so much lol.... which he got from our comments re Burns night etc..
