The Ride Of Our Lives

Giddy Up.. Giddy Up my four legged friend.
Where shall we ride out to on this fine day?
Along tracks and trails, over the hills and far away
Hold on tight to my reins for dearest life
Let's gallop awhile and increase our speed
Sit tall and proud on your trusty steed
I know some quaint and quirky places
Let's go explore a windmill or two
A haven at Cuckmere to name but a few
Riverside walk meanders in Isfield
Seven sisters with bright chalky white faces
Chailey is quietly common with wide open spaces
Arlington has a reservoir to it's name
Bright colored meadow with butterflies fluttering abound
A spring in our step as we stride round and around
Shingle beach scattering pebbles onto the shoreline
Cliff top hill climb many spectacular views to admire
Gulls flying overhead so very close to the wire
Ditchling has a beacon that strikes not a light
Many times we have trod it's various pathways to follow
Height was a virtue for scenery to soak up and swallow
Another "A" Listed reservoir walk boasting a famous viaduct
Bridges to cross with gentle green hills to climb
Sailboats across the water bob with the tide and time
Many footsteps imprinted on our wondrous landscape
Shared mother nature at it's finest for all seasons
Question ye not the rhyme or the reasons
