Chaos in Disney

Cathy, Sinead and Pip, Michaels sisters had been over to Disney to visit him in October for Halloween. Michael worked in Disney land Paris as a few different characters but mainly Tigger, a toy soldier and a scarecrow for the Halloween season.

Oh what an eventful few days that was.

Sinead had broken her leg four weeks before the trip and was in a boot. She was advised to use wheelchairs as much as possible because she was a big girl and struggled with the crutches. They rented a wheelchair when they went through the park in Disney. They thoroughly embarrassed Michael when he was in costume doing a show. It was very unprofessional. They were shouting his name and if he had not been the professional he was he would have been distracted. Not only did they see him dressed as a Scarecrow in a show, but later they got to see him dressed up as Tigger and he was a Toy Soldier in the evening parade.

As Michael worked, Cathy, Pip and Sinead we're going around the park. He had gotten them complimentary tickets. They were fast pass tickets but they didn't realize it until after the park was closed; they had queued up for everything; even the teacups.

It was Pips job to drive Sinead around all day in the wheelchair. When Michael was finished work he took over. The ground was not flat on the Disney pathway; it was laid with cobbles in parts. Michael excited to see his family started driving like a lunatic. He was trying to make Sinead laugh of which she did plenty of. He went to go up onto the footpath but didn't judge the curb and she flew six feet in
the air.

The French and the other tourists were horrified at this site. However Michael, Cathy, Sinead and Pip were breaking their hearts laughing. Sinead could have easily gotten up but she couldn't because she was laughing so hard. The other three couldn't help her because they were in the same state. Pip was just sorry she didn’t get it on camera; after all she got video of everything else.

The next day Michael brought them to the big shopping centre in the area. He needed groceries and knew the other three would enjoy walking around it. They rented an electric scooter for Sinead. They went around and they got their bits. They spoilt Michael rotten and when Sinead’s battery was nearly gone they decided they had enough.

There was a flat escalator going from the bottom to the top floor where the scooter had to be brought back, and there was a lift. Sinead was not a very good driver and the lift was very small, so Cathy told her to go up the escalator. One third of the way up the escalator the wheelchair started going backwards. Cathy, Michael and Pip once again we're breaking their hearts laughing. Sinead tried to reverse and got stuck.

The emergency stop button on the escalator had to be pressed. She was a big girl so it took four men to lift her off the scooter and then lift the scooter down off the escalator. All of the French people were there staring at Michael more so than Pip or Cathy because he was a man and could have helped. He was in hysterics once again along with the other two. Sinead was mortified. When they got her down she got back up on the scooter and drove away leaving the other three on the floor in tears laughing. Sinead went in the direction of the elevator.

She managed to navigate her way in and out of the lift and met the other three upstairs. Michael with tears still in his eyes pointed Cathy in the direction of the jewelers whilst himself Pip and Sinead gave back the scooter.

Just as she had taken her crutches back all the three of them could hear was 'gun, gun, gun'. It was Cathy.

'There’s a man with a gun, there's a man with a gun' she shouted. She was a mama bear wanting to look after her cubs but made a holy show of them in the process.

Everyone turned around. Michael Pip and Sinead just stood there looking at her, her arms and legs flailing trying to get them away from the vicinity of the gun. They were looking at her so intently that they hardly noticed the man in the mask come out of the jewelers with diamonds in one hand and a gun in the other. The whole shopping centre was looking at Cathy. 

Michael was atwork the next day. In the dressing room someone made a comment about an incident with a wheelchair in the park from two days before. All Michael could do was say that that was him and his sisters which his friends didn’t believe at first. Then finally when they came around his friends continued by asking if people heard of the woman who got stuck on the escalator in the shopping centre? Michael held his head in shame and admitted that was his sister also. His friends really thought that he was pulling their leg. Then they continued by asking did anyone see the woman who was shouting about the gun outside a jewelers. Michael, almost on the floor with embarrassment said 'yes that was my mother'.

He then continued with 'and would you believe they're only here for 3 days'.

His friends couldn't believe it. Neither could Michael.
