Even though Kayleigh was asleep when he got home to the apartment, he couldn’t but wake her to tell her about his day. As he rubbed her shoulder and kissed her on the cheek, she moaned and wiped her eyes. ‘What time is it?’ She asked groggily and began to sit up in the bed. Michael placed the ring box on her night stand before he got out of his clothes and into his pyjamas. Kayleigh looked at the box, suddenly wide awake. He draped his trousers over the chair, making sure to take the letter out of his pocket before jumping into bed beside the love of his life. He explained everything that had happened in the last 12 hours and what he had found out about his grandmother and furthermore his father. Kayleigh couldn’t help but be interested in what was in his nanny’s box…they were all the things they needed for their new little family.
Michael shed a tear as he explained how he had told his grandmother of the baby and the upcoming nuptials. Then he got down on one knee and proposed to his one true love. She cried as she squealed ‘yes,’ and wrapped her arms around Michaels neck. She cried even more when Michael explained that it had been his grandmothers first engagement ring, one that no one knew existed. It was explained in the letter that he wanted the first born son of her first born son to receive the ring. She had also written that if he didn’t give it to Kayleigh that he would be missing out.
Seven months later
Michael looked down at his first born son as Kayleigh was sleeping after a long delivery. ‘Hello baby Charlie,’ Michael smiled, ‘wait until I tell you all about your grandmother and how you came to be…..’

This was a really good read
This was a really good read mono.
Two suggestions:
the font you chose is TINY which will put off some readers
why not divide the story more equally into two parts? Readers are often put off by huge blocks of dense text and I don't think there's any need for it in this case
