The two puggles

The two little puggles

 

Belle and daisy are two little puggles

They love lots of hugs loads of kisses and snuggles

They came from some boot of a car in a field

Which to some would just stand there and  think and would yield

But Nui and Lou didn't really mind

They were in awe of their little find

Not only cute but covered in fleas

They looked up and said come and adopt me please

Nui and Lou broke down in tears

Far far away go all of their fears

Of worry and all of those sleepless nights

And all of the things that may cause some frights

 

They one at a time slowly walked through the door

Of the pub to the family they knew would adore

Both of the puppy's that they loved so much

Because they were so soothing to touch

Now belle wore red and daisy wore pink

So it was easier to tell them apart and to think

That daisy there gave the very first daisy hug

And belle looked up nice and cozy and snug

At Lou looked right back down and just knew

That her family had suddenly multiplied now by two

She had tears in her eyes and her hands got all clammy

At the thought that she had become a new mammy

She looked over at nui her eyes full of tears

And Nuis look dampened down all of her fears

Because Nuis heart was full of joy and of love

They had just been given two gifts from above

Home they went because they were sleepy

And Nui and Lou were getting a bit weepy

Because as they walked in the door

They were not a family of two anymore

 

Belle had a lot of problems with her eye

Every evening she would sit and would cry

Those creatures on the TV got a bit blurry

Almost like how speech can get slurry

She goes afar to see an eye doctor

Who looked in her eyes and poked and prodded her

Down to cork she would have to go stay

Yes that's right that's far far away

The veterinary hospital was the destination

Which for daisy would mean some sedation

For daisy travelling isn't very easy

She tends to be sick and a little queasy

Daisy comes up to greet the vet happy

Her tail got very erratic and slappy  

She was grateful for belle to get her sight back

She never thought of how coming home would lack

Belle in the car on the way home

Daisy was one who didn’t like being alone

 

A lampshade she would have to wear the poor pet   

Drops and creams and all sorts she would get

This would have to be for some weeks

So over the rim she peeks and she peeks

Afraid of missing anything that would fall

Whilst trying to stop bumping into the wall

But that in itself was a great massive feat

But to compensate she got lots of treats

She was being so well looked after right down to her belly

And soon enough she could again see the telly

 

The sight in the eye is slowly coming back

And her lips after the drops would always smack

Because she knew her mammy's would give her

Some kind of treat as well as her dinner

Of which she only eats the big nuts

Onto the floor the small ones she puts

These are then hoovered right up by daisy

Who would never see this as belle being crazy

 

They go to the green to chase run and play

And when it's nice and sunny they lay

Down on the grass with their tongues out and pant

For some water they look up and chant

Then out comes the bottle of liquid so clear

And they smack their lips and say thank you my dear

So stones are produced for daisy to chase

She runs and runs all over the place

Belle asks daisy can she have a try

But she can't see the stone reappear from the sky

So nui goes and runs and hides in the trees

But belle gets all frightened and panics and wees

 

 

They love sausages and chicken and ham and dairy

And trust me when I say that they are both crazy

About milk and they even drink it from cups

Just like their mom would have given to them as pups

Up on the table daisy would stand

With belle looking up seeing if anything would land

Anything Upon the floor she could eat

Mmmmmm she would say what a nice treat

But nothing is to beat those colourful sticks

Belle would do any and all kinds of tricks

Two she would get every evening for tea

But when she was finished she would look to see

If daisy was finished with her two or not

Because belle really wanted to eat the whole lot

 

Belle has issues about using the loo

Only whilst on a great walk will she poo

If you asked her at night before bed

To go out for a wee she would shake her head

And get excited about going out so she can

See if that pussy cats all under the van

Afterwards she wouldn't come straight back in

But simply come back with a cute little grin

Because daisy has to go through the hole in the door

So she has access to the garden and more

She goes to work in the shed with Louise

But when she's on a call daisy would sneeze

And snot would go all over the bed

And shed jump onto the spare chair instead

She would spin and spin and that's her new trick

It only happened once though because she got sick

Louise had to clean up with a rag

And she then dry heaved and felt weak and gagged

 

In the past six years these girls have given

So much love and affection and also have driven

Nui and Lou to go through all kinds of weather

But they always know they will be Together forever
