Daddy
By my silent undoing

Life is easy. A doddle. A breeze.
Too long sometimes, too short the rest,
But all it takes, sometimes, is a real good sneeze
To feel good again. Bring all this **** to its knees.
That feeling you get, when you switch
That heavy bag from one arm to the other
And the free arm thanks you, feels pleased
Just for the unloading. Well that's all I need:
Just a word of thanks, every now and then.
And I guess for my dad to tell me, for once,
That maybe he's glad that I'm alive.
Or maybe die just to make him pleased.
