Dear dairy,

more shite than you can shake a stick at, young man.

Last night I watched Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo" at the wonderful Curzon cinema in Clevedon. A very jolly film, and I did emerge congratulating us all on having evolved, measurably, in the last 54 years in terms of cultural sophistication and incredulity.

Then, today, I came to work.

Suddenly, not so self-congratulatory.

a dose of horror today PT- how far have we progressed? It seemed simpler then I think. But I wouldn't want to go back.

Lots of advancements but what of the toll on family life! Another horror story…? And friendship’s…? They’re hastily becoming a virtual reality.

Everything seemed simpler then, Pia (although I can't claim that fine vintage myself). Maybe not have been as innocent as some would have us believe, though. The 1958 classic had its corny moments. Progress? Best vs. Best? Hi Mark. Good morning. Virtualisation of all that can be virtualised. And abandonment of those things that cannot. Perhaps not everything. I am enjoying our virtual natter, it has to be said. Thanks for dropping by, both.
