Wishes on Blue Waters

In the orange glow of twilight
Near the blue Pacific waters
I freely cast my wishes
On the seas relentless whitecaps
Will they carry down to Triton?
Blow his conch shell
Calm the waters
Or raise the storms of oceans
And pull them deep down under?
If they sail on waves till morning
Magic carpets on air currents
Will the sun shine down upon them
Turning mist into fine sunbeams
In the arms of sleep I linger
Tossing dreams in silent slumber
When the light breaks through my window
Casting rays of light to find me
I’m adrift in sun and starlight
Whisper thin the veil that shrouds me
Half awake and half in dreamland
Where wishes made can guide me

Hi Penny,
Hi Penny,
a pensive poem that stirs the senses.
I just loved that last stanza:
I'm adrift in sun and starlight
Whisper thin the veil that shrouds me
Half awake and half in dreamland
Where wishes made can guide me
A wonderful thought that touched my imagination.
Thank you for sharing.
Jenny.
