Politcal Soup

Gorillas in suits,
Disguised as political groups

They shoot, missiles and nukes,
To take out such a pivotal group

Al-Qaeda, an Islamist militant threat,
But must we forget,
That we haven’t seen them yet

9/11 oozes in political soup,
Militants fighting for the mythical truth
We send our innocent youth,
To go and stop the spiritual troops

The body count is the physical proof,
This isn’t war because war has a purpose,
Rallies in Washington got politics nervous

Young boy return with your sword,
And not on your shield
A death in a foreign field isn’t needed
Pledge your allegiance to our flag,
But don’t forget to pray to God in Iraq

War is the corollary of failing to talk,
Instead we walk into the valley of death
With nothing else substantial to help us,
We send our troops with their last breathe

We thought drugs were killing the youth,
But our young are dying in political soup
