Scared of The Moon

Alone, she lays waitin'
Surrounded by the gloom
Inflated by all the shadows
Paintin' the entire room
The light from the window
Cuts straight through the air
And pins the child lyin' there
Scared of the moon
She pulls up the curtain
And shivers in fright
She hides from the colours
Which ride the night
The light through the window
That lights up the sky
And causes her moon full cry
She panics and shouts 'doom'
Scared of the moon
The years go by swiftly
And soon childhood ends
But life is still fearful
When evening decends
The fear of a child
Still intrudes the night
Returning on beams of light
Scared of the moon
The feelin' of terror
She felt as a youth
Has turned from a fantasy
Into the truth
The moon is the enemy
Twisting her soul
And takin' its fearful tone
Scared of the moon
But now there's others who sit in a room
Talk about why they're scared of the gloom
This once young girl talks, of her night doom
How she used to be scared of the moon
The moon listens, in great shame
Caused these people to be forever insane
Everynight he used to enter their room
Scared of the moon
