Leaning on the ballustrade
Of a hotel balcony
Far above the emtpy street
A lonely smoke to keep me company
The night grows old
But sleep wont show
While the mind still lingers on flimsy fallacies
Bellow I see them sitting on the pier
Feet flirting with the surface
Drinking from a bottle in a paper bag
They're not doing anything I can see
Except sharing a late night fantasy
That will hold their lives together
And they don't know it yet
But this will be the memory
That keeps them up at night
In anguish stained melancholy
This will be the memory
That'll never let them go
