Misery is optional - or so they say.
Misery equates to:
a cup of tea willingly left to mould
funny DVDs left unwatched
friends pushed aside or neglected
refusing to wear a hat in the cold
Seeing this
I can tell misery is optional
Seeing you
On a dark day is hard
Seeing me
I'll try to break that option of misery

I was drawn by the title -
I was drawn by the title - often so true. While sadness can be unavoidable, misery is very often worn like a badge. I thought the poem was good.

If only it were, Pixie. How many people would opt for misery if there were a way out?
