Alone

Have you ever felt so alone,
You have your phone set on silent mode,
There's no point having a ringtone,
As nobody is contacting you on said phone.
It seems a silly thing to moan about,
But at one point it would never stop.
Hundreds of messages bombarding my inbox.
Now nothing.
The occasional text,
From PPI insurance or adverts of so called interest.
I was once needed and now I'm not,
My help is something that would sooner be forgot.
I would do anything for another,
I don't need to be asked twice,
Yet these people fail to keep me in the pipeline.
But when shit hits the fan,
My phone will ring,
My inbox will be filled with messages that will not be seen.
I'm sick of being a mug,
Find another doormat to wipe your feet,
Cause my phone is going off and I'm going back to sleep.
