Uncomfortably Numb

A vessel.

An empty one at best,

but I can feel my heart beating as I lay my palm against my chest.

My hearts beating, so there must be blood running through my veins,

but I don't seem to be able to shake this horrible aching pain.

Inside I feel numb, in such a way I can't put it into words,

I can't keep ignoring it, each day it's getting worse.

I usually write a verse, I can't even do that.

I wish I could stop feeling like such a worthless twat.
