CHRISTMAS MEMORIES

" Anna, is it one year since you lost your Tommy"

I remember the first time I saw Barbara, I was in my brother Tommy's
house, she walked in with black long hair, a leopard dress and coat to
match and high heels that she could not walk in, but despite all that I
thought she seemed nice.

Some months had past and Tommy had told me he wanted to ask Barbara to
marry him, and that he wanted me there to witness the wedding if she
said yes in the Lake District, So when Tommy asked me to go on holiday
with them I said yes.

We arrived at the cottage well after 8.00pm, it was Christmas Eve so we
wrapped up presents till well after midnight it was just great, and I
had never seen Tommy so happy before. I was woken by a noise, not sure
what I heard but I thought I should find Tommy. I found Tommy and
Barbara arguing, I could hear Tommy saying that he would be made a
laughing stock if people found out that Barbara was a man, then I heard
a scream so I ran in to the woods, Tommy was lying face down he was
dead, I started to cry and shout for help but Barbara came behind me
and stabbed me with a knife in my arm, I turned and fought with her but
she ran off. I thought Christmas was for giving, not taking.
