Invisible Enemy

From visiting family and friends
Watching our favorite teams play
Home and away,or going out for a
Romantic meal for two, various
Hobbies we liked to do.
From no where you appeared
Without warning, and cruelly
Hunt us like prey, it seems,
You do not want to go away,
Unprepared,felt as if we were
Blind, these are defiantly
challenging times,hair pulling,
Raised voices,doors Slamming,
Boredom as truly set in, at
Times It's getting hard to bare,
But life isn't always fare.
Even sunny day's have felt bleak,
Nights,even more lonely than before,
Feeling of prison bars upon our windows
Four walls closing in,there seems to be
No bright light, this is such an heavy plight.
So many people doing all they can
Across all sectors,from working long
Hour's to save the Sick, to keeping
Our cupboards stocked with food,
Post still arriving through our self
iscolated front doors, police
Doing what they can to enforce
Unnatural,yet necessary restrictions.
But when we get a moment or two
To catch our breath,be assured
We will emerge stronger and wiser
Because, together we will beat you.

I enjoyed this honest poem of our current times. You describe what most of us are going through very well. Poem's such as this will remind us of what we are going through when we look back later. That sense of people playing their part is encouraging.
