Dream - - School Virus

Okay, so me and my dear mother are going for a lesson in something. Can't remember what the lesson is for. We're walking up to a steep hill to get to it when I remember that Olivia, my friend who lives in Ireland, has given me her cat to look after for a couple of days. I've already had it for a day, and I remember that it's been trapped between two walls without food and water for all of this day. However, I tell myself that I will feed it when I get home. Very soon we reach the lesson. It is a row of people sitting down on the ground facing a low, old, mossy wall. We go to join them. At an uncertain point in the lesson the environment morphs and we are sitting in a cluttered library at the computers. I am on YouTube. I think my brother was in the library as well, not sure. I watch a video of a boy filming himself singing a song that he wrote. He has black hair and pale skin, and although he was rather spotty my dream self thought he was cute. Later on I show some friends the video, but I can't remember their reactions.
Soon me and my friends go to school where we go immediately to a science classroom. The room is empty save for a couple of other students. When we look out of the window, the quad is filled with murky water, with many naked, featureless corpses floating on the surface. One of the other people tells us how there has been a virus that attacked the school, and the grounds are now in quarantine. We then go down to the door going out onto the quad from the language corridor and open it, with a bit of difficulty. Water and corpses nowhere to be seen, the quad is now filled with rows and rows of chairs on which sit rows and rows of children, all immaculate in their school uniform. None of them are moving a muscle, none of them are making a sound. They are all simply staring blankly ahead of them. The student who earlier explained the quarantine situation to us whispers that these are the victims in the very last stages of development - right on the threshold between human and god knows what.
We have to go down the middle aisle to get out of the quad and to the South block. As we walk through the straight rows of chairs, each child raises their hand as we pass them, still staring straight ahead. This is the most terrifying part, and the part which has stuck with me ever since. As we hurry away from the quad in the direction of the South block, I glance back over my shoulder. The rows of students are still there, right hands raised, staring straight ahead, totally stock still.
In the South block we go to the music room. My mum is there for some reason, and my friend Georgia Mae. Then there's something about cake, and it all fades away into the ether...can't really remember.
