Beautiful Death

Down on her knees she begged for his life. He jumped off the boat and drowned in her sorrow, he made a grasp for air and she waved the life right into his face. His air supply cut off and it was too late for anything to be done. She saw his life flashed through her eyes. Although she had only a few images of them, all were clear. For the split second she had to make a choice. Alas, she lost those seconds, he's dead. Those few minutes of truth her heart skipped a few beats. She saw his dead body floating along the edges of the river. Immediately she jumped off her safety boat and went after him. Focus Focus Focus. With little hope in her little heart she breath the life into him. The transmission of air, oxygen”nothing. The saline mixture of sweat and tears”her beating heart. Hope is diminished, all is lost. She cried tears of blood, leaving stains on his wet t-shirt, the blood spread out evenly along the fabric. Her hollow cheeks, she looked at his pale face with those swollen eyes. He never said his good bye”he never even had the chance. She was the girl of his dreams and so was he for her. She looked at his corpse in disbelief. Oddly she felt his presence, if anything he was looking out for her, she felt his cold hands pressed against her back. She looked to see what it was”nothing. Lost of hope, he did not come back to life. Lies lies lies. Somehow his closed eyes gestured her towards him. Awkward pause for breath”she can no longer cry. All the water and blood drained out in a single sob fest. The sight of his breathless body killed her; she had to make a choice. Final breath of air, she hung on to his dead body, and stopped breathing. They were together now; they floated up into the infinite sky. And they laughed at those poor souls lingering in this world, free at last. There's no stopping them now, united along those stars. They won't be found for a few days, when their empty boat would be drifted along the shore. Fate brought them together and death only brought them closer. Nothing has ever been more beautiful than to see two lovers rejoicing in death.
